Following the Regional Youth Data Summit this past February, six of the freshman who attended from Triton were inspired to start to build assets in their school community. Students have discussed areas they would like to help to improve in the school and brainstorm possible solutions. Areas that rose to the top include bathroom beautification, vaping and school pride. Students have made some headway on the bathroom beautification project and are hoping to make some changes before the end of the school year. They see themselves as representatives of the voice of the students to the administration. The group is supported by Liz Finn, a High School Guidance Counselor. Stay tuned to see this group’s progress as their projects get underway!
